Hey Toronto Star, do you understand how Facebook Connect works? It doesn't seem like you do...
Let me break it down for you...
Facebook Connect is supposed to let you comment on sites around the web using your Facebook credentials, thereby saving the user having to register at multiple sites.
See how that works?

Just remember--the real reason the Star wants you to register directly is so they can get your e-mail address. Once they get that, they'll hound you to subscribe. Kinda like how they phone me twice a week because the National Do Not Call List doesn't apply to newspapers.
In fact, I had 2 dicks at my door tonight trying to sell me a Star subscription, just a week after I had to run the gauntlet at Loblaws.
Say, you don't think the Star is desperate for business, do you?
